Looking for a beautiful place to hike not far from Atlanta? Well we have found a place to do that! Sweetwater Creek State Park is located about 20 miles west of downtown Atlanta.

Sweetwater Creek State Park

This Georgia State Park is located in east Douglas County and has beautiful wooded walking and hiking trails, a visitor center, as well as a bait and gift shop. There are some ruins along the creek that were used in the filming of one of the Hunger Game movies.

13 year old, Quariyah and her family recently hiked at Sweetwater Creek State Park, so be sure to check her post out here.
